LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

A determined, reliable and passionate leader can steer an organisation towards small and large accomplishments in the workplace. The Leadership course is designed to improve the
various leadership styles of management by encouraging them to use these skills on a daily basis. Leadership skills will benefit and organisation by an increase in employee morale and retention, improve productivity, promote better decision making, build better teams, and train future leaders in your company.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this module the learner will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the key characteristics of the modern organisation and its environment;
  • Identify the nature and purpose of leadership in the modern organisation as the basis for effective process management in terms of planning, organising and controlling;
  • Identify and describe the importance of leadership roles and responding to change requirements both within the organisation and outside, with particular emphasis on problem-solving and decision-making;
  • Understand and develop the role of leadership within the organisation as the basis for effective people management, with particular emphasis on motivation, delegation, conflict management, stress management, coaching & mentoring and diversity;
  • Understand and develop the role of leadership as the basis for effective performance management in the organisation;
  • Understand and develop the role of leadership in respect of change and change management within the organisation, both for individuals and teams;
  • Develop and apply leadership as an integrative tool in response to environmental conditions affecting the organisation internally and externally, and in the achievement of appropriate levels of growth.
